The Overdue Blog Post

I would like to first introduce all you readers to the wonderful song that is Light by Sleeping at Last. It could be about a romantic partner but my best guess (after listening to the song numerous times) is that it's about having a baby, WHICH ONE OF MY FRIENDS HAS HAD!

CONGRATULATIONS KELSEY AND JORDAN! It feels like it has been lifetimes since I've seen you Kelsey but I sincerely wish you all the best. That is one lucky baby boy and he's an absolutely beautiful baby boy.

What else has happened that I've missed?! A beautiful wedding joining two lovely people, Marissa and Tim. You guys know who you are and I also send you my best, I also wish you all the happiness ever! IN THE WORLD! :)

I am purposely leaving out full names because I don't know how the aforementioned people feel about bein' in mah blog. SURPRISE!

So, the reason I've been slightly more quiet than usual on the internets? Not too much has happened so there hasn't been much to write about. I did (more like botched) my very own PCR plate! Unfortunately the results weren't so good :/

And I did another plate with my wunnerful frand Erin, a lovely, lovely person in the aussie world. We are also in the midst of raising baby mice! Also known as pups, and they are quite cute. They come out very naked (no hair) with their eyes closed and are tiny, tiny things. By now they've grown quite a bit more hair but are still the size of miniature mice.

It was also a bit exciting looking after the pups because sometimes the mothers eat their pups when the mums too get stressed out. It just so happened that I found two pups that had, unfortunately, been eaten by their mother so it does happen!

But enough of weird work talk, I did an extremely touristy thing and went to the zoo to pet a kangaroo! And a wallaby!

I believe that same weekend I also got to see Anneleis! That was pretty amazing! We went 'round some parts of Melbourne and are actually gonna get together again to try and find the St. Kilda Little Penguins. I also met her family and they were all really nice and welcoming. I did have a really fantastic weekend then. This passed weekend was not quite as fantastic, I went out clubbing with my lovely roommates and we got there pretty early which would have been fine if the music hadn't been....well....not dancey music. It is also kinda awkward going to a club with three other couples, I wouldn't recommend it BUT later there was a DJ who was actually amazing. He saved my night, unfortunately there was also a buncha douchebags who decided to try and dance with all the girls, every girl, and didn't really take no as...no. I was dancing with a couple of the girls I had come with and their respective partners were off-stage and there was one incredibly annoying guy. I had already told him, nah, I didn't wanna dance with him. I was fine, thanks, but he didn't really take me seriously because he came back! And I looked at him, didn't say anything, and went into an infinite head shake. I was ready to spend all night shaking my head guys. Would you walk away? I would but this guy's a real gem, he decided to try and put his arm around my person. Well, I promptly proceeded to take my arm and use it to physically push him away from me. It actually worked pretty well for the moment, however I don't know if it would've worked for the rest of the night because we left about 5 minutes after that. Apparently I got his face though and I'm pretty happy I did that. Although, it's unfortunate that it had to be done, and I like to think I was pretty gentle with him. I just nudged him. In the face.

So people, don't mess with my dance nights. You've been forewarned. I will use physical force if necessary.

:)

To finish off this post I would just like to thank family and friends who have listened to me this passed week, it's been a pretty harsh week that I'm still workin' through.

And thanks to you reader for readin' aaaallllll these words or some o' these words or lookin' at some o' my pictures.

I leave you with:
